A few years ago I went to knitting camp...yes, there are geeks in every possible activity. The teacher had a video camera trained on her hands and there were monitors throughout the room so that everyone could follow the steps to execute a fancy stitch...much applause for a centered double-decrease, you can be sure. Do you think it would be helpful for harp students to see their hands from another angle? To see what you or the parent is seeing? Or from the other side of the harp or from below?
Where would one look for a video camera that feeds live into a small monitor?

Elinor, This is a fabulous idea. I don't have room in my studio right now, but if I were ever to redesign it, I'd put a flat screen TV up on the wall right in the line of vision of the student. The camera could be placed at different places depending on what, precisely, you wanted the student to see. It could run in real time, or be recorded for playback.

I think any existing video camera has the capability to plug into a monitor.
